Next release of Sublight (2.0.1) will have RAR support for movie hashing and playback of RAR compressed video files without (manually) decompressing them. This feature is currently possible with VLC media player.

This means that user will just drop RAR file to Sublight, application will then recognize movie name and search for subtitles. When user double clicks subtitle it will automatically start movie playback (currently supported in VLC media player).

All of this is already implemented and we are just doing some final tests. Stay tuned...

We are happy to announce that final version of Sublight 2 is now available for download.

Sublight is now even more powerful and has very modern user interface. It also includes SublightCmd 1.0.0 which can be used for batch subtitle download. SublightCmd is also available as separate download and can be run on multiple platforms (Mac OS X, Linux, ...).
